VfL Bochum sign Silvère Ganvoula. The 23-year-old striker returns to the club having played for the Blue-and-Whites during the 2018/19 campaign loan from the Belgian side RSC Anderlecht.

He moves to Bochum on a permanent basis with both clubs agreeing an undisclosed fee. The Congolese international scored five goals in 22 matches (21 in the 2. Bundesliga, one in the DFB Pokal) in his first season at VfL, as well as contributing with one assist. The new contract is dated until the end of June 2023.

Sebastian Schindzielorz, Director of Football at VfL, said: "We are glad that the transfer worked out. Silvère already proved his qualities last season: He is a physical presence, very fast, tall and strong in the air. He has also come on well which was seen at the end of last season, when he scored three goals in the last four games. His development is not yet complete. With him, we now have a type of player in attack that we lacked before. Despite numerous offers, it was Silvère's wish to continue playing for VfL Bochum".
