VfL Bochum 1848 have extended Anthony Losilla's contract, with the new contract keeping our skipper at the club until 30/06/2021. The 33 year old Frenchman has been with the Blau-Weißen since 2014 and has played 180 matches in VfL colours, chipping in with 7 goals and 16 assists.  He has been VfL's captain since the start of this campaign.

Sebastian Schindzielorz, VfL's Sporting Director, spoke at the signing of the new contract. "Anthony Losilla is a top professional, and a player who is always ready to give everything for this club. He is a mentor for our young players and an idol for the fans. As a leader he knows what giving 100% to the club on and off the pitch means and how to be act as an example for others. Toto goes forward, even in times of difficulty. We are so happy that he's decided to stay with us for another year."

Anthony Losilla was also very happy; "that we agreed so quickly on renewing my contract. VfL and Bochum are very close to my heart and my family, the Vonovia Ruhrstadion is like a second home for me. I am convinced that we will be able to make the fans happy with great football as we did last Monday. Not only now, but also next season. I want to play an active part in this".
