Thomas Reis (Head Coach VfL Bochum 1848): "By our standards, you saw a very good away game today. It took us a while to get into the game. That was also because Gladbach has a good positional game. Then we concede two goals, which is very annoying from a coach's point of view. We had four or five good chances in the first half, we could have done more with those. In the second half, we tried everything to leave the pitch with our heads held high. We got one back, and with the last chance we had a chance to make it 2-2. On the whole, I'm not worried about the rest of the season if we continue to perform like this. We knew before the game that Borussia would not be the measure of our strength. Nevertheless, we would have liked to take something home today.

Adi Hütter (Head Coach Borussia Mönchengladbach): "I would put today's game in the category of a hard-fought victory. In the second half, we didn't manage to close the bag early. Bochum gave everything until the end and fought hard. We held on for the win.

Sebastian Polter: We knew it would be a tough game here. After an ‘English week’ that was very exhausting for us, we put a lot of heart and passion on the pitch again today. Our fans can see that. There were over 4,000 Bochum fans there, and we're very proud of that. At the end of the day, we don't take anything with us and couldn't reward ourselves for our performance. We should have been more efficient. Especially in the counter-attacking game - I include myself in that.

Anthony Losilla: Gladbach presented us with many problems today. They have a team with a lot of quality, you saw that today. Nevertheless, we had good chances that we have to use better. We have to be more consistent in the final third. The second half was much better for us. In the end, with a bit of luck, we might even got the equaliser at the end.
