Heiko Butscher (interim coach VfL Bochum 1848): Of course, we are first and foremost disappointed to have conceded such a late equaliser. But we were aware that Cologne are a very strong team and that they will have a lot of possession. We wanted to fight back with our own weapons, we had good switching moments and managed to create some danger occasionally. It's a shame that the lads didn't get rewarded for their great performance. You can hardly imagine the pressure of being without a point after six games and then playing Cologne at home. We'll keep on working. Everything is possible. VfL Bochum never give up, we keep going.

Steffen Baumgart (head coach 1. FC Köln): We saw a good game from both teams. It was a very aggressive game which I felt we dominated for long periods. We created a lot of chances, especially from the flanks. In the second half even more than in the first half. We were very strong, and the attitude of my lads was very, very good. The draw was deserved, we pushed for it.

Kevin Stöger: We are finding it difficult to reward ourselves these days. Of course, Cologne were better in the second half, they had more ball possession. We begged for the goal at the end. Nevertheless, we still had one or two chances that we have to finish better. It is very annoying. We are left with one point, better than none, of course. But still, three points would have been possible today somehow.

Simon Zoller: We played a very, very disciplined, and actually strong first half. We stood firm at the back and kept Cologne away from our goal. Of course, conceding such a late goal is bitter, but a point is better than none. Because of our committed play, we would have wanted to and could have taken more with us. But Cologne were extremely strong, we can't defend everything. In the end, it's a fair point for both of us.

Gerrit Holtmann: I went off at half-time because I didn't feel well, I had a bit of a headache and a sore throat. I told Heiko Butscher that Jordi should bring a fresh breeze onto the pitch. It was bitter to hit only the goalpost again today. Last season, the goals went in. In the current situation, with no points after 6 matchdays and a change of coach, I have to say that we need a real turnaround. Still, one point is too little, but the team is intact and there are only little things that are missing.
