African Cup of Nations - Algeria finish fourth

Anthar Yahia and Algeria faced Nigeria in the third place play- off of the African Cup of Nations on Saturday, the 30th of January 2010. The Desert Foxes had to accept a 0- 1 (0- 0) defeat against their opponents. Yahia did not pull on international colours.

Following the bitter 0-4 defeat against Egypt, Algeria were once more frustrated by Nigeria in the third place play-off. Striker Obinna Nsofor's second-half goal (55) earned Nigeria the third place at the African Nations Cup. VfL defender Anthar Yahia did not enter the pitch.
